They create some of the best visual work which visionevents produce (and also a contributing factor in office mischief), this blog’s focus is on our event Graphic Designers which is headed up by Richard. Now in his 22nd year in the business, Richard has seen technology revolutionise graphic design in the events industry.
We are lucky to have a 4 visioncreative team members who manage all of our graphic design and video production needs, from event design concepts, 3D animation, video production to large scale prints with top of the range tools to manage this. These range from our large HP Design Jet printer, AI Infinity 8 Media Servers, to a retro vinyl cutter which is capable of incredibly detailed vinyl prints. What’s really important is our ability to offer tailored solutions for people’s needs.
“It’s important for people to know that you need proper advice as to what designs, graphics and technology will fit their event. Sometimes simple is best. For our large scale events, pushing the boat out for full animated graphics content with video really does create that wow factor. Often for smaller, more intimate events, quality prints, branding and simple well designed onscreen content will give your event a premium finish which you can only get from a professional event production company.”
It’s always been important for us to offer a full event production service in-house. This takes the pressure off our clients as they can deal with one supplier, through one point of contact for all their event production needs. We believe this makes the event planning process streamlined and efficient, just the way it should be.
Graphic Designer David Eadie said:
“As design specialists, we are best placed to provide relevant, innovative design concepts and ideas. Our experience ensures our designs make the best impact for your event. Due to the diverse nature of visioncreative we never know what you we’ll be working on. Any given week we are creating prints, 3D graphics, then our video production editor, Ross Laird can be flung to the most remote areas capturing footage for anything from corporate video’s to highlighting local, unsung heroes.”
Enda McCusker reflects:
‘I’ve always loved 3D design and motion graphics, and working with a company like visionevents gives me great scope to be creative. I like the thought that my work is on display at events and forms part of the quality production which visionevents have built their reputation upon.’
What’s the biggest design challenge you have had at visionevents?
“Every job comes with its own challenges ranging from the venue, budgets, timescales, sponsors, corporate ID or logistics, and some have all of these factors to accommodate! I enjoy the challenge of seeing a job through from beginning to end.
Coming up with the concepts and working out what technology and designs we need to use or create, then finally making the event happen. That should be my motto from “pitch to production!”
What’s your favourite design tool/programme at the moment?
“Cinema 4D is still an amazing piece of software. On the hardware front I really like the look of the new mac pro tower…not even out yet but the innovative design style and technobabble are pure old-skool Apple. Steve Jobs would approve!”
Best source of inspiration?
“Nature or the internet!”
